"the heels stretched my height to a good 6'2'' or so" says Etoile, and that's made me wow for at least a day. Women I know shrink themselves. If you're above 5 10 as a girl, well dear, heels are out and demure is in.

But this is England, and although things have changed, they haven't gone far enough. Still women use that irritating falsetto, and pantos and fart jokes are the classics...

I don't know what I'm trying to say really. Should I get a double bed for my room? It's a decision I need to make.

But yeah, Etoile: you're awesome is basically the main gist. I can't extrapolate further than that. Night!

Comments:
"Still women use that irritating falsetto, and pantos and fart jokes are the classics..."I have several issues with this statement:

1. I misread "falsetto" as "fellatio" and wondered why you would find it irritating... I apologise for this error.

2. Pantomime is too self-effacing and ironic for transatlantic tastes. Americans need a canned laughter track in order to know when to find something amusing. An American acquaintance of mine couldn't watch re-runs of M*A*S*H over here because we took the laughter track off. He said he didn't find it as funny. 'Nuff said.

3. Fart jokes aren't "classic". It's just that, on occasion, one can find a release from the stresses of modern life by regressing to the playground of ones childhood. And if you are 8 years old, bodily excretions are amusing. Fact.

Oh, and regarding the double bed issue. Definitely go double. 2 reasons. One, you will enjoy the space when sleeping solo. Even if you are one of those sleepers who likes to curl into a ball, just the knowledge that you could stretch out all the way is enough to provide much inner peace. Secondly, any women you bring home will be impressed as you're likely to be one of the few of your peers to have one. This is shallow, but useful - and is an advantage likely only to exist for a year or two. Take advantage whilst you can.

*giggles*

I'm more English than American anyway, and I'm guilty enough too...

MASH wasn't funny even with the damn laugh track. AND I'M AMERICAN. Please
if I ever come over to your house don't insist we watch it. I'll leave. Quickly.

And thanks Fran for the post! How flattering! I haven't always enjoyed being tall, but now its a power that I enjoy lording over the shorter women... Only kidding. I stand about 5'11'' and various change in bare feet. It is FANTASTIC! Makes me feel like a supermodel on a good day.

Kisses and Happy New Year. Give Daphney a HUGE kiss at midnight.

Aw, come on. I'm Amercian too, and much as I often disagree with Brits (this OAO guy is British, I assume) M*A*S*H was fantastic! Only in America could you get away with disguising an anti-Vietnam allegory by the oh so tricky method of setting it... in Korea!!!!!

:o))) Happy Holidays.

Uh oh! I hope the Colonials don't fall out over one of my less-than-sober postings.
